Drill the holes through the piece of wood. 13. Mark holes for drilling ¾ inch from both ends of the four ⅜-inch wood strips and approximately every 4 inches in between. 14. Drill a ⅛-inch hole through each mark on the 24½-inch boards and the ⅜-inch wood strips. 15. Place countersink bit into drill. Countersink each hole you drilled to a depth that will accept the head of the galvanized deck screws.

Avoid adding diseased plants and leaves to a compost pile, because the disease could be spread later when compost is applied.
