1 D. Gąsior and M. Drwal Two-Level Heuristic Algorithm Given the complexity of the problem, efficient approximate solution algorithms are desirable. e. e. finding y) alone are tractable motivates the following heuristic approach. First, the problem is decomposed into two subproblems: 1. e. for given M, N, S, L, A = [amnsl ], C = [Cl ], x , find: M N S y = arg min xmns τmns (x , y) m=0 n=1 s=1 subject to constraint (3) (assuming x = x ). 2. e. e. those for which y was obtained. The data placement in cache servers influences the need for capacity in different links.
The main contribution of this paper is a novel web service admission policy including new auction-based scheduling mechanism and different pricing policies. Our proposal concentrates also on QoS level and client satisfaction (client loyalty). 3 Assumptions and Problem Formulation The aim of the web service is delivering resources for which charges are taxed. The architecture of web service is shown in Fig. 1. Web clients send offers to the web service and the scheduler makes decision about accepting or rejecting offers and assigns a bandwidth for scheduled requests to the queue.
